Our story

Research should be a query, not a chore

People spend hours copying facts off the web into spreadsheets. We think that's exactly the kind of work software should do — accurately, with sources, at scale.

Frax started from a simple frustration: the answer to “build me a list of X with columns Y and Z” almost always exists on the open web — it’s just scattered across hundreds of pages. Gathering it by hand is slow, error-prone, and soul-crushing.

What we’re building

Frax is a spreadsheet with a research agent living inside it. You describe the rows and columns you want; the agent goes out, searches the live web, and fills every cell — with citations you can click. Structured outputs keep the data clean and typed. You stay in control.

The bar

We care about the details most tools skip: the favicon next to a link, the shimmer while a cell researches, the easing on a modal. Those things aren’t decoration — they’re how a product earns trust. We’re building something that feels inevitable to use.

Where we’re headed

Toward a world where any team can spin up a continuously-updating dataset in minutes, share it with a link, and trust every number in it. If that excites you, come build it with us.
